Melanocortin Agonist (MT-II)
Melanotan II is a cyclic lactam analog of α-MSH that acts as a non-selective melanocortin-receptor agonist. Its ring is an amide bridge between the Asp and Lys side chains, not a disulfide. It is used in laboratory research on melanogenesis and melanocortin-receptor pharmacology.
